German-supplied IRIS-T SLM Ukrainian Hanud Missile Destroyed by Lancet 3 Kamikaze Drone

Rudal Hanud IRIS-T SLM Ukraina Pasokan Jerman Berhasil Dihancurkan Drone Kamikaze Lancet 3

Lancet 3 punya jangkauan terbang maksimum 40 km.

Diklaim Sebagai Decoy
(Gilang Perdana)

German-supplied IRIS-T SLM Ukrainian Hanud Missile Destroyed by Lancet 3 Kamikaze Drone

Another 'expensive' weaponry system from the West was successfully destroyed by the Kamikaze Lancet 3 drone. From the video released by the Twitter account “Ukraine Weapons Tracker” on August 1, 2023, it is clearly revealed that the Russian kamikaze drone succeeded in destroying the IRIS air defense missile system. -T SLM Ukrainian operated. This is the first confirmation of the destruction of the German-supplied Ukrainian IRIS-T (InfraRed Imaging System Tail/Thrust Vector-Controlled) airborne missile system.

Citing information published by the German Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian military has received two IRIS-T SLM units, along with the TRML-4D air reconnaissance radar, of which Ukraine received its first unit in October 2022. It is called an expensive defense system, because the price of one IRIS-missile unit T SLM is estimated at US$430,000. And on the launcher units that were destroyed – in the platform of the MAN 8x8 truck, there were eight containers of IRIS-T SLM medium-range missiles.

The IRIS-T SLM (Surface Launched Medium Range) is an air defense system developed by the German company Diehl Defense. The IRIS-T SLM is based on the IRIS-T air-to-air missile, which is an infrared-guided short/medium range air-to-air missile. IRIS-T can perform 360-degree maneuvers, and can be controlled via radar.

The SLM variant allows the missile to be launched from ground-based platforms, providing a medium-range air defense capability. The IRIS-T missile is known for its high maneuverability and accuracy, making it an effective weapon against a variety of aerial targets including airplanes, helicopters and drones.

Since its launch by a European consortium consisting of defense companies from Germany, Italy, Norway and Spain, the IRIS-T has undergone several further developments, including enhanced sensor capabilities and guidance systems. The latest variant of this missile, IRIS-T SL (Surface Launcher), is designed for ground launch and was introduced by Germany and Norway in 2019.

The IRIS-T SLM uses an inertial navigation system with GPS support, with a radar data link for command guidance during the initial approach phase. Meanwhile, interference-resistant IR seeker heads are activated at the terminal stage. In 2022, two variants will be available – IRIS-T SLS (short range) with a range and altitude of 12 km and IRIS-T SLM (medium range) with a range of 40 km and a maximum altitude of 20 km.

Meanwhile, the attacker, the Kamikaze Lancet 3 drone, is the production of Zala Aero, a subsidiary of the Kalashnikov Group. The kamikaze drone, which costs US$35,000 per unit, has a maximum weight at take-off of 12 kg, including a 3 kg explosive payload – high explosive (HE) or HE-fragmentation.

The Lancet 3 tu is equipped with an optical-electronic guidance and TV guidance module, which allows control of the ammunition during the last stage of flight before hitting its target. Lancet 3 has a maximum flight range of 40 km.

Claimed As Decoy
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side said that what was attacked by the Lancet 3 was a decoy, aka dummy, from the IRIS-T SLM missile system. Debate and discussion about this then enlivened comments on the social media universe. (Glang Prime)

The Danish Armed Forces (Forsvaret) will donate all 19 units of its CAESAR 8X8 SPH (Self-Propelled Howitzer) artillery weapon system to Ukraine. The Danish government has consulted with the country's Parliament on this matter at a meeting of the Foreign Policy Council, local media reported. It said all 19 CAESAR artillery guns owned by Denmark would be donated along with a training and education package for prospective crew members from Ukraine.

On 14 March 2017, Denmark selected the CAESAR 8X8 to be the Royal Danish Army's new artillery system. A total of 19 of these howitzers were purchased and mounted on Tatra 815 8X8 trucks. Of the quantities purchased, 15 units have been received in 2021. Meanwhile, 4 other units are planned to be shipped in 2023.

“This is a very big and significant donation. We are in constant contact with Ukraine about this CAESAR artillery. I am happy because we have now received broad support from the Danish Parliament," said Danish Defense Minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen. CAESAR (CAmion Équipé d'un Système d'ARTillerie) or a truck equipped with an artillery system, is a 155/52 mm SPH manufactured by Nexter, France.

Zelensky believes Russia is ready to launch a new, larger offensive

Zelensky believes Russia is ready to launch a new, larger offensive.
Kompas.com, January 4, 2023.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia plans to call up more troops for a new major offensive.
Zelensky believes Russia will mount a major offensive even though Moscow has faced some of its biggest internal criticism of the war over the attack which killed scores of new conscripts.
Kyiv has been saying for weeks that Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to order another mass conscription and close its borders to prevent men from escaping conscription.
"We have no doubt that Russia today will throw everything they have and everyone they can muster to try to turn the tide of the war and at least delay their defeat," Zelenskiy said in his video address late Tuesday (3/1/2022).

"We must thwart this Russian scenario. We are preparing for this. The terrorists must be defeated. Any new offensive attempts by them must fail," he added.

Russia's defense ministry on Wednesday (4/1/2022) blamed its troops' use of cellphones for a Ukrainian attack on New Year's Eve that it says killed 89 servicemen.
This is the deadliest incident Moscow has claimed for its troops since the start of the war.
If Russia plans a new mobilization, the deaths of a number of conscripts on New Year's Eve could undermine morale.
Hundreds of thousands of people fled Russia when Putin ordered the first call-up of reservists since World War Two in September after a military setback.
Putin said last month there was no need for further mobilization. But in a sign the Kremlin may now be considering, a small group claiming to represent Russian soldier widows issued a call on Tuesday for Putin to order a massive mobilization of millions of people.

Ukraine Missiles Hit Poland, Zelensky Accused of Starting World War III

Ukraine Missiles Hit Poland, Zelensky Accused of Starting World War III.
Thursday, November 17, 2022.

Missiles fired by a Ukrainian air defense system hit Poland and killed two people, but Kiev accused Russia of being behind it.
Over the incident, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was accused of trying to start World War III.
"Ukraine tried to start World War III yesterday when a Ukrainian missile attacked a NATO country and killed innocent civilians. Ukraine's leaders lied and blamed Russia. [News agency] AP wrote it without hesitation," wrote conservative United States (US) commentator Benny Johnson on Twitter.
"Ukrainian leaders lied to try and start a full-blown World War III. These are the facts," he continued.
The tweet came shortly after reports that a "Russian-made" missile hit Polish territory near the Przewodow region. Following the report, Zelensky said that it was a very significant escalation amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
"This is a Russian missile attack on collective security! This is a very significant escalation. Action is needed," Zelensky said in a video after the report.
However, on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, several officials from the US, Poland and NATO denied that the missiles were launched by Russia as a deliberate attack on Poland, which is a member of NATO.

"There is initial information that disproves that. I don't want to say until we fully investigate," said US President Joe Biden. "No way, according to the trajectory, it was fired from Russia. But we'll see."
Polish President Andrzej Duda also commented on the attack, saying: "At the moment we have no evidence that it was a rocket launched by Russian troops."
“However, there are many indications that it was a missile used by the Ukrainian anti-missile defense,” Duda added, as quoted from NPR, Thursday (17/11/2022).
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also said that the missile was likely a stray attack from Ukraine's defense forces but added, "This is not Ukraine's fault. Russia bears primary responsibility for continuing its illegal war against Ukraine."
As well as Benny Johnson, several other high-profile commentators also criticized Ukraine's and Zelensky's initial comments following reports of the missile attack.
"Zelensky is one of the most dangerous psychopaths on the planet right now. He is determined to start another world war," conservative commentator Matt Walsh wrote on Twitter.
Renowned businessman Blair Brandt wrote on Twitter: "So now confirmed that Zelensky's military, perhaps accidentally, sent missiles to Poland and then tried to use them as an excuse for NATO to start World War III. This is not the act of a hero looking to save the world or de -escalation."
According to a Reuters report, the Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement denying that it fired missiles at Poland and said the reports were a deliberate provocation aimed at escalating the situation.

First Batch of New ET-1E Electric Torpedoes Delivered to the Russian Navy
Friday, 28-10-2022.

According to information published by Tass on October 27, 2022, the first batch of electric torpedoes has been delivered to the Russian Navy, Dmitry Benzoruk, deputy CEO of the Regional State Research and Production Company (part of the Tactical Missiles Corporation (KTRV) revealed.
The electric torpedo (ET-1E for its export variant) has been developed by the Region State Research and Production Enterprise, which is Russia's largest developer of air-launch torpedoes and weapons.
The torpedo can hit any surface, submarine and coastal target at a distance of up to 18 km (11 miles) amid electronic countermeasures and even in shallow water and under ice. It can be launched from submarines equipped with 533mm torpedo tubes.

TASS reported earlier that the ET-1E electric torpedo had undergone tests on a nuclear-powered and diesel-electric submarine, confirming the safety of its deployment.
It is also reported that it can be equipped with additional modules due to its modular design. When completing a task, it can make a number of decisions on its own, including jamming avoidance responses.
The ET-1E was unveiled by KTRV at the Army 2022 international military technical forum, held at the Patriot congress and exhibition center in Kubinka near Moscow on August 15-21.
