Finnish Police Arrest Criminal Who Gets Weapons Contraband Black Market From Ukraine.

IslamTimes - Criminals in Finland have obtained some weapons sent to Ukraine by their Western backers amid the conflict with Russia, said Finland's National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). "We've seen signs these weapons have already found their way into Finland," NBI detective inspector Christer Ahlgren told news outlet Yle on Sunday (30/10/2022).
Assault rifles were among the armaments, Ahlgren said, but declined to provide further details, as the investigation was ongoing.
An arms trade route from Ukraine to Finland has been set up, according to investigators.
“Three of the largest motorcycle gangs in the world — which are part of a larger international organization — are active in Finland. One of them is Bandidos MC, which has units in every major Ukrainian city,” he said.
“Criminal organizations have their networks in Finnish commercial ports,” Ahlgren pointed out, adding that the mandatory security checks for airport staff do not apply to port workers.
Finland is not the only EU country with such problems, as "weapons sent to Ukraine were also found in Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands," he said.
“Ukraine has received a large number of weapons and that is good, but we will be dealing with these weapons for decades and paying the price here,” Ahlgren pointed out.
In early May, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stressed the need for accountability for American weapons supplied to Ukraine. At the time, Austin said he had discussed the matter with Kiev authorities, who provided assurances of liability.
In June, European Union law enforcement agency Europol warned that the Ukraine conflict could lead to a spike in arms and ammunition being smuggled into the bloc.
Around the same time, an investigation by RT Russia revealed that various weapons supplied to Kiev by the West were sold on the dark net.
Moscow has long criticized arms deliveries to Kiev by the US, European Union, UK and several other countries, arguing that they only prolong the conflict and increase the risk of direct confrontation between Russia and NATO.
